Old City Backgammon
Old City Backgammon takes you to a cafe in the Old City of Damascus for a quiet game of backgammon with a friend. Two players are required as neither an AI opponent or network play are supported. Additionally no doubling die is provided. The program provides a game board to play on and computer assistance is limited to moving a hit blot to the bar and cancelling moves to non open points. No other rules, turns, or piece movement is enforced. Usage instructions are simple, tap the dice to roll them and drag pieces to move. Piece movement will snapped to the positions allowed by the die rolls unless turned off in the options. Double touch the circle in the top half of the board to bring up the options page, which includes the option to reset the pieces to their starting positions. One can bear off pieces directly to the side areas where the dice are located. Please find the rules for backgammon online if required.
DO NOT purchase this game if you have no friends or family to play against face to face as it is just like a physical backgammon board! Except of course if you want a way to make new friends by asking people if they want to play backgammon.
