PuzzleGardens Lite
Build a beautiful garden map in your BlackBerry PlayBook, using more and more diverse tiles. It could be enjoyable and creative fun for kids, or pretty challenging quest for more advanced players.
What its all about:
Use the tiles falling into your reach to build a map. Match them carefully to create a pretty neighborhood, earning points as you complete more and more sophisticated areas.
Avoid wasting too many tiles, as it will eventually end your game…
And, most of all, just have fun!
Tile placing rules:
New tile can be placed on the map only when it is adjacent to at least one already placed tile. Additionally, all adjacent edges must match, so as more places around some free spot are taken, it gets harder to find a matching tile. In some cases there might be no suitable tile at all. As a general rule you should avoid mixing too many different constructions in a tight area
In any case, "tower" tile can help you: this is a special case tile, with edges matching everything else. Use them wisely, as they are a limited resource.
Rotations:
Tiles can be rotated to suit your needs better, but at a cost:
First, each rotation uses out one "rotation token". And rotation tokens are not easily reacquired.
Second, you rotate all the tiles in your storage boxes at once, so good planning is crucial.
Bonuses:
Some unoccupied areas have little icons on them. Those are bonuses, which are collected when you place a tile over them:
Coins – Gets you some points.
Recycle – Reduces your garbage level. Its a very useful bonus later in the game – use it wisely.
Rotations – Gets you some rotation tokens. You can have up to 20 rotation tokens at a time, so avoid collecting it if you are already full, or almost full.
Tower – Makes the game draw certain amount of tower tokens. This is the only way to get some towers, as they will be never drawn randomly.
All others – Makes the game draw certain amount of tokens associated with collected bonus type.
Scoring:
Every tile placed on map gets you some points. Exact amount depends on many factors:
Placing a tile with just one edge adjacent to the existing map – 10
Placing a tile with two edges adjacent to the existing map – 50
Placing a tile with three adjacent edges – 250
Placing a tile with all edges adjacent filling a "hole" – 1000
Collecting "coins" map bonus – Between 300 and 1200 random
Completing an area like house, path or forest – Between 50 and 250 per each tile of the area
Towers are a bit tricky when it comes to calculating construction area, but well leave it to you to figure out how to wildly multiply your score with them ;
Oh, and once per every 1000 points in Normal difficulty level at last you get one more rotation token.
