weMee Network Tools

Network Tools is an app designed for the BlackBerry that combines an IP Tracker, website ping test and a set of IPv4 network based calculators and also a IPv4 to IPv6 convertor.

The IP trace will take an IP address, and then attempt to trace where it originates from, and if available, provide a link to a map to display its location.

It displays information, like country, city, postal / zip, are code, latitude and longitude where available.

The second part of the app, is a simple website ping test, designed test servers on most common ports including

80 Normal HTTP protocol
443 SSL protocol
22 SSH
21 FTP
3306 mySql server
25 SMTP server

You will get a response displaying whether the connection was successful, or not, giving an indication of whether the server being tested is running correctly, on the port tested.

You also have the option of choosing whether the test is carried out from the UK / US, which can prove useful in trying to trace outages in certain areas.

Finally, there is a set of network based IPv4 calculators, and Bin, Hex Decimal convertors, useful for network technicians, and students alike. There is a also an IPv4 to / from IPv6 convertor allowing you to convert standard IPv4 addresses in to standard, condensed, or alternative IPv6 addresses
