So, what am I getting exactly?
If you have a BlackBerry device os 7, such as the bold 9900, the torch 9850 or the torch 9810 you get both in the same application: the camera ruler and the standard ruler.
If you have a BlackBerry device os versions 5 or 6, you get the standard ruler.
Note: Due to limited screen size, this app is no longer available on the pearl.
FAQ
Since I only have os 6 and can only get the standard ruler, do I get a rebate?
To keep things very simple, whether you get just the standard ruler or the standard ruler and the camera ruler, the price is the same
Please follow the instructions in the device carefully before attempting to use this application.
Hint: For the standard ruler, pressing space will automatically move the slider all the way to the right, and if its already there, than pressing it again will be the equivalent of pressing the continue button.
For the camera ruler, its important that you hold the device at the same height that you mentioned in the setup menu. Also, you must point the camera at the BASE of the object or point, where it meets the floor, and not directly in the middle of the object. The app should then tell you the distance between the location your aiming at, and your device.
If your accelerometer is not working, or damaged, than the camera ruler will either not work, or it will give inaccurate estimations.
