The Town of Luang Prabang is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a beautiful, quiet township in north central Laos, which has attracted travelers from around the world for over 4 and a half centuries now. Buddhism is the dominant religion in Luang Prabang; there are Buddhist temples everywhere and the early morning processions of begging monks always gather massive crowds, even for Laos.
