Japans Peculiar Rocks
Standing proudly and solitarily in the middle of the sea or on the coast, they are the Shakotan Peninsula Candle Rock, the Mizunashi Standing Rock and the Kesennuma Broken Rock. The Mano Bay in Sado is home to the Human Face Rock, a formation with a frightening appearance resembling a demons face. The Helmet Rocks, which look like they will break any day now, can be found on the island of Miyakojima and on the coast of Fukaura. On the Nichinan coastline, the waves have created the eerie Devils Laundry Rock. Then there is the miraculously balancing Succession Rock of T&333;no or the Lake Kawaguchi Rock. In this photo album you will find a collection of unusual, natural rock formations from all over Japan. 50 pictures total available.
