ZenAural

ZenAural generates Binaural beats and Isochronic beats which tune brain activity.

This effect of binaural beats was discovered in 1839 by Heinrich Wilhelm Dove: Using two slightly different tunes in each ear, the brain can receive stimulation in frequency ears cant normaly perceive. Isochronic tones are regular beats of a single tone. Since isochronic tones are more pronounced than binaural beats, the stimuli is even stronger. ZenAural also uses pink noise and small natural sound samples as background sounds.

ZenAural offers predefined programs to try reaching a specific state of mind, and also a custom program mode that enables you to experiment with Binaural beats and Isochronic beats.
