With a strong and extensive domestic distribution network consisting of 912 branches and more than 15,300 employes, Akbank is one of the biggest banks in Turkey operating from its Head Office in Istanbul and 20 regional directorates throughout Turkey. In addition to the branches which are the Banks traditional delivery channels, Akbank also offers banking services to customers through its Retail and Corporate Internet Branches, the Telephone Banking Center, 3,127 ATMs and more than 267,000 POS terminals as well as other high-tech channels.

Para Gönder will be another great application by Akbank, designed to allow existing Akbank customers to perform fast money transfers using their BlackBerry smartphones. The customers credit card and debit card information will only be used to enable these transactions through a safe mobile channel. The card information will not be used to perform purchases or any other type of transaction apart from peer to peer money transfers.
