IMPORTANT: this is NOT for complete BEGINNERS because knowledge of Hirigana / Katakana is required in order to make proper use of this tool. It may also be useful to have some knowledge of Romanji.

This application provides an extremely efficient way of learning VOCABULARY.

Questions which the user gets wrong are remembered and asked more frequently. A progress graph is included which allows the user to monitor progress.

The application contains over 600 words of Japanese vocabulary, suitable for the JLPT beginner level in 2009. To study for the JLPT beginner level exam requires preliminary basic study, so not suitable for complete beginners.

The application is easily controlled using the keys q and p or w, meaning the user can even learn vocab with one hand.
