Mobile Chromatic Instrument Tuner helps you tune your instrument: piano, violin, guitar etc. It uses advanced algorithms to discover the fundamental sound frequency; supported range: 501100 Hz.

The measurement correctness strongly depends on the microphone recording quality. Place your phone as close as possible to the audio source, make sure that there are no external noises. The application uses the same microphone that is used during the calls. You have to start the tuner select the Start button visible on the screen to start recording.

The application contains a tone generator which can generate and play tones from the scale; supported ranges: C4 B6, 262 1975 Hz. It includes an orchestra option if you want to tune e.g. to 442 Hz or 443 Hz instead of the default 440 Hz.

Instructions:
TUNER. 1. Select the note e.g. E. 2. Press Start Tuner. 3. Play the sound. 4. The application displays Too low, Too high or Good. 5. Tune up or down and play the sound again.
TONE GENERATOR. 1. Select the note e.g. A4 440 Hz. 2. Use the orchestra option if necessary. 3. Press Play.

The application needs permission to record the sound. It should be set during the installation, but if you pressed No at that time and the screen blinks when you start the tuner, please go to the main menu, select Options, Advanced Options, Applications, Tuner, Edit Permissions and set everything to Allow.

VERY IMPORTANT: This application does NOT work on BlackBerry smartphones that support CDMA or iDEN network. For example, Verizon and Sprint in the USA are CDMA networks, so all devices using these networks are not supported.
